Title: CBM Potential of the Alberta Plains - Ardley Coal Zone Boundary (GIS dataset)
Dataset Publication Date: 2009-07-01
Dataset Language: eng; CAN
Abstract: The coal zone boundary for the Ardley Coal Zone is based on subcrops generated by Alberta Geological Survey Special Report 007 (Regional Evaluation of the Coalbed Methane Potential in the Plains and Foothills of Alberta, Stratigraphy and Rank Study). We used additional coal picks from various sources to refine the boundary.

Scope (quality information applies to): Dataset
Data History: Coal zone boundaries are constructed by combining known subcrops and interpretation/approximation where subcrops are absent. All coal pick locations for this coal zone are captured with the boundaries.
