Downloadable DataSwift Fox Range
This dataset for swift fox (Vulpes velox) is produced for the Government of Alberta and is available to the general public. Please consult the Distribution Information of this metadata for the appropriate contact to acquire this dataset. A smoothed minimum convex polygon (MCP) was used to delineate a range based on observations from relevant databases in Alberta. Additional considerations were used to further filter range boundaries after observation data were plotted. Historical/extirpated obse...

Offline DataSharp-tailed Grouse Leks and Buffers
In Alberta, the Sharp-tailed Grouse (Tympanuchus phasianellus) is ranked as Sensitive, and populations are believed to be declining in areas where significant natural habitat loss has occurred. Lek sites are important habitats for breeding, displaying and social interaction, with the majority of activity occurring within 1.5 km of a lek. Sharp-tailed Grouse have breeding leks at discrete locations. Sharp-tailed Grouse leks and buffers were based upon all known and confirmed population locations ...
