Abstract: This dataset contains boundaries of Management Areas, which are geographic areas of managerial responsibility within Parks Operations Division, Alberta Environment and Parks. Management Areas are groupings of Districts, which are geographic areas of operational responsibility within Parks Operations Division. Parks Operations Division Districts nest within Management Areas, which in turn nest within Regions. These boundaries are administrative/operational in nature, and are subject to change.

Statement:
Changes in Parks Operations Division Management Area boundaries are often related to changes in program
administration and/or staff reporting structure. Boundaries are based on existing data (see " Data
Source Description"), usually traced. In general, accuracy is +/- 5m where a Management Area boundary
follows ATS or hydrography. Accuracy can decrease to +/- 20m where boundaries follow source data
features which have been updated from IRS imagery.
